YORK â€" Back by popular demand, Bowling for Boobs will be taking over Sunset Bowl this weekend.
Teams from all over York County will be getting together to bowl for a good cause: a cure for breast cancer.
This is the second year that the York United States Bowling Congress has put on the Bowling for Boobs event.
Before that they had done smaller things but when this was so successful and such a hit last year, they decided to do it again, one of the organizers, Lori Keller said.
There is still room for a few more teams of four to sign up if they want to, Keller added. It’s $20 per person in exchange for three games of bowling and a T-shirt.
All of the proceeds go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The tournament runs Friday and Saturday with a raffle going both days. There will also be a live auction on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Raffle tickets are available at Sunset Bowl as well as from any York USBC member.
A new addition this year is the bra-decorating contest.
The creative and fun, decorated bras are already on display at the bowling alley. The public is welcome to stop in and vote for their favorite for $1 apiece.
