After 15 years of studying the effects of bras on 330 women's breasts, one fancy French boob professor researcher has determined that undergarments don't prevent sagging, they actually cause it!
What?! ::Throws bra out window::
"Medically, physiologically, anatomically - breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity," Professor Jean-Denis Rouillon, a sports science expert from the University of Besançon said in a statement. "On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra." Basically, Rouillon argues that bras limit the growth of supporting breast tissues, leaving the breast to "wither" more quickly.
And, according to the study, "women who took off their bras for good experienced a 7mm lift in their nipples each year they didn't wear a bra. Researchers also found that bra-less women developed firmer breasts and saw their stretch marks fade."
But â€" caveat! â€" ditching you over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder won't do much if you're of a certain age. "It would be of no benefit to a 45-year-old mother to stop wearing a bra," Rouillon said. His research is "not a representative sample of the population...It would be dangerous to advise all women to stop wearing their soutien-gorge."
So, basically, now that flimsy sundress and tank top weather is just around the corner, Jean-Denis Rouillon would like to see women â€" perky young women, specifically â€" going around bra-less.

She claims she is blessed with the biggest breasts in Britain, but busty Claire Smedley is terrified her 40MMM boobs will kill her relationship.
Three years ago, she split with a boyfriend after he nearly died when she suffocated him during sex.
Her breasts have since grown even bigger and now weigh an incredible 2.5 stone each.
Claire, 30, is now terrified the same thing could happen with new boyfriend Chris Willgoose, also 30, who she lives with in Derby.
She said: "Chris loves being smothered by my boobs, but I'm always on my guard after what happened last time.
"Once he's had enough he'll tap my leg and I'll get off. It's nice to know he appreciates them, but I won't let things go too far.
"My last relationship ended because he was too scared to have sex with me. I don't want that to happen again."

Mum-of-three Claire says she demands sex up to five times a day, blaming high oestrogen levels for her libido and big boobs.
She said: "I read on the internet that high oestrogen levels can make your breasts grow, so I'm guessing that's what's causing it.
"I've been to the doctor but they didn't know what was wrong. It's got to the point now where I'm terrified they won't stop growing."
When Claire was 11, she went for her first bra fitting and discovered she was a C cup.
She said: "Mum and dad joked that I went to bed and came downstairs the next morning with massive knockers.
"At the time I was so embarrassed. Girls at school used to unclip my bra strap during assembly, while boys stared at my boobs as though they were from outer space.
"I used to sleep on my front hoping they wouldn't grow anymore."
But by the time Claire turned 12, she'd shot up to a DD cup.
She said: "Everyone always thought I was older than I was. Sometimes the bus driver wouldn't let me on with a child fare - it was so humiliating."
By the time Claire turned 16, they'd swelled to an H cup.
She said: "I was told to cover up in my local church in case I led the men into temptation."
But the advice from the church had the exact opposite effect on the teen.
Claire said: "I was angry - after all I though, 'it's not my fault'. So I decided to rebel, getting rid of all my turtle necks in exchange for spaghetti string tops.
“Even though I didn't like my boobs, they were a part of me. I was tired of pretending to me someone I wasn't."

By the time Claire turned 18, her boobs had grown to a J cup, swamping her tiny size 6 frame.
She said: "I looked ridiculous, though I always received appreciative stares from men. I desperately hoped that the growth spurt had come to an end because I'd started to get scared.
“I didn't know what I'd do if they kept on growing. I considered a breast reduction, but the thought of a surgeon hacking away at my breasts terrified me."
But the biggest threat wasn't to Claire - but to her boyfriend.
When Claire was 27, ex boyfriend Mark nearly died when she suffocated him with her 40LL breasts which weighed more than a stone each.
She said: "Usually, he loved being smothered by them, and on this occasion, he started flailing around wildly. But I assumed it was because he was so excited, so I kept going. A few minutes later, I noticed he'd stopped moving."
By then Mark, also 27, was still and appeared not to be breathing.
Claire said: "I was panicking and was just about to call 999 when thankfully he started to come round. He appeared dazed and confused but then he sat up and coughed. I was so relieved."
But after Mark's near death experience, the couple's sex life flagged. Claire added: "After that, he went right off sex."
The pair split up three months later, while Claire’s breasts showed no signs that they would stop growing.

When Claire managed to rekindle a relationship with old flame Chris Willgoose, who she married aged 21 but later split from, she knew she was treading on thin ice.
Claire, who now has three children with Chris - aged three, six, and nine, said: "I knew Chris loved my boobs, but I couldn't put his life at risk.
So we devised a safety precaution where he'd tap my leg if it ever gets too much, and I'd climb off."
Claire, who claims her 40MMM breasts are the biggest in Britain, says she has started to make a glamour modelling career off the back of them.
She has participated in ten topless photoshoots at £150 a pop for websites, and now hopes to conquer Europe with her assets.
She said: "I've got a lot of fans in Germany, so it would be great to go over there and tap the market."
But behind the glitz and glam, Claire reveals that having big breasts is not easy.
She said: "I get back ache all the time. And doing simple things, like tying my shoelaces or running after the kids, is impossible.
"Shops never stock my bra size, so the only option is to get one tailor made, but that costs £200.
"And while some women might like the attention from men, not all of it's flattering. In fact, most of it's rather unimaginative - 'get em out', 'look at the size of em' and so on, but when someone tries to pull your dress down in a bar, it's not funny.
"Sometimes, when the straps on my top have snapped under their weight, I've come home holding my clothes up and desperate for a breast reduction."
But for Claire, a breast reduction isn't an option.
Weighing 20 stone, Claire's BMI is too high for surgery. She would need to lose eight stone for a reduction to be carried out safely.
She said: "Sometimes I do think I would like a reduction, but I know I'd need to loose weight first.
“Even so, I don't know how I'd feel having smaller breasts. I don't know if I'd be the same person and it would most certainly end my modelling career."
Meanwhile Claire's partner Chris is prepared to support whatever decision Claire makes.
He said: "Obviously I love Claire's breasts - I've had a lot of fun with them. But I'll support whatever decision she makes as I just want her to be comfortable - it's her body at the end of the day."

Everyone has different preferences in strippers. Beverly likes the girl with blown out flower tattoos and cheap hair extensions who looks like a biker's girlfriend. Also: the pale, thin, red haired girl with a mole on her tiny ass. One friend likes the tattooed babe with the mohawk, and actually gets a lap dance from her, which he enjoys. Drummer Cory tells me he is an ass guy. "I think smaller breasts are beautiful, larger breasts are just fine...I like ass." It appears to be his lucky day.
I am at Pumps Bar in the culmination of many hours of after-partying with Cult of Youth, a goth band in the broadest, sloppiest, most catch-all sense of the word that cringes tastefully (and probably correctly) if you call them that. Everyone is having a good time, but it was not always a foregone conclusion that we would end up here. It took several hours of drinking beforehand.
Let's back up. We're at 285 Kent and Cult of Youth are playing a visceral set of their tough-to-categorize music. Some of the band's members have that "Hitler youth" haircut favored by industrial dudes everywhere, but their sound is more dark neo-folk. At times during the show, barefoot frontman Sean Ragon sounds like he could be singing an Irish drinking song, a suggestion to which he will later reply, "Well, I am from Boston." The post punk bass lines, dissonant chords and distorted climaxes balance out his warm singing and occasional screams. Like Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, it appeals to my gothic sensibilities without being specifically of the genre.
After the show, we mill around and decide where to go. I float the idea of Pumps, which is always a good idea when trying to jumpstart some fun with new friends. Bassist Jasper and his wife are immediately psyched. They don't often have Saturdays off and haven't been to Pumps in forever. Some of the other guys think it's cheesy. Instead, we decide to go to The Flat for a friends birthday and free drinks.
We arrive at The Flat, where dubstep music blares at an unpleasant volume (any). Jasper and his wife sit in the alcove located as far from the speakers as possible, and Jasper tells me the story of when he last went to Pumps 11 years ago. A friend of his from the band the Casualties had to make a quick stop before dropping him off at home after a wild night out. "I thought he was getting milk, but he was going to Pumps, and when we walked in, the music stopped. It was not cool. I actually don't remember much past that. I'm assuming he bought me drinks. It was terrifying."
Jasper's wife has her own strip club story. She says once, when she was in New Orleans, a friend bought her a lap dance. The stripper danced for the wrong person by mistake, a prude who didn't exactly appreciate it.
